We’re two Cornell University students who have been exploring AI since ChatGPT launched in 2022. Using it in our work and studies showed us that the right tools can save time, but only when they fit the task.

Why we started Fog Strategy.

During Nolan’s data and AI internship with a marketing agency, he helped make company information easier to find, connected marketing results to an AI assistant, and built tools to reduce repetitive work.

Alex first saw the potential of AI at Glif, a startup founded in 2023 that explored AI tools that could do more than answer questions. He later used AI in private equity and private credit work to make time-consuming financial tasks more efficient.

These experiences made clear that these benefits should not be limited to companies with their own AI specialists or large consulting budgets.

We started Fog Strategy to help small and midsize businesses put AI to work. We find one problem worth solving, build around the tools your team already uses, and show them how to use the solution with confidence.
